Joseph Has a "Dream"

When the wise men had departed, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said,
"Get up, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt,
and remain there until I tell you;
for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him."

Matthew 2:13-18

    You are saluted, St. Joseph, most loyal assistant in the decisions of God!

    [Sorry that my translation is not very "smooth." John]

  2. This is a very beautiful and elegant card, Micki. I remember how afraid of Herod I used to be when I was a child! And John's translation - "most loyal assistant in the decisions of God!" - how wonderful is that?
    All Best Regards, Lynneda

  3. Hey John, it's "smoother" than a Dairy Queen in my eyes. :-)

    Lynneda - Always happy when people like the cards. Thank you.

  4. I had to enlarge it twice. I am in awe of its beauty and its artist's ability and gift to portray Joseph dreaming this way. I had to also look closely at Joseph's face. He doesn't look too happy, yet responds to the dream with "fiat." The angel stands on a cloud. Interesting!

    And I'm certainly glad John is no longer observing silence... he he he... Thanks to John!

  6. Easter - Yes, I so wish we could have artists do holy cards like this still today.

    Crescenet - I'm sorry to say I couldn't get that address to open to a blog.
