IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Feast of St. Marguerite Bourgeoys, Established the Congregation of Norte Dame
"The mediocre teacher tells.
The good teacher explains.
The superior teacher demonstrates.
The great teacher inspires."

Micki, I just love the words that go with the picture! William Ward surely possesses God's wisdom! It is important to inspire others, to bring out the best in others...
I was a college teacher in my early 20's. More than 50% of my students got A's and soon they asked me if I taught other subjects beside computer basics. I was very young and so energetic. I pray that I will continue to have the same passion now that I am not so young anymore... he he he... God be praised for He is the source of all wisdom, strength and inspiration! Love, Easter:-)
It always amazes me, Micki, to discover how many of the Saints gave away without a second thought that which many of us waste our time scratching after - wealth, status, comforts: it means nothing to them! Just by the way they live, they are the ultimate teachers. And this lovely picture, with its inclusion of race and gender depicted in only 3 children... fantastic. Thank you. Best Regards, Lynneda
Easter - How interesting to learn that you were a "professional" teacher. Wonderful. I'm sure you were wonderful. Love your words about God being the source of wisdom, strength and inspiration. I do count on HIS help!
Lynneda - Thank you for the great reminded of how we do "scrach" after things that are not benefitial to us at all. Oh Lord, help us remember what are the important things.
Wonderful...

Are these prayer cards available? I am looking to purchase 100 of them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your question but I don't sell cards. This blog was just a reason to share my personal collection of holy cards.
ReplyDeleteMicki
Do you have any idea where I might be able to purchase this prayer card??
