IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Mary with Lamb............January 13
The Blessed Virgin directs to us all the acts that every mother lavishes on her children. She loves us, watches over us, protects us, and intercedes for us. Pope John XXIII
What a beautiful card, so simple is the picture yet so meaningful. How fortunate are we to have a mother such as Mary that cares for us so deeply. A very appropriate beginning to my day today. A reminder that I need only to turn to her for help. Thank You once again Micki. Have a wonderful blessed day. snflwr
A very sweet card. The card posted yesterday is also very unique and pretty.
I would like to ask each visitor to remember our brothers and sisters in Haiti who are suffering so much. May our prayers help them to find solace and hope in Our Lord. We have much to be Thankful for, Praise God! A Beautiful Day to All! John K.

Mary Lou - I love the vision of our being "connected" via Mary. Thanks.
John K. - T Y Your suggestion is certainly appreciated. Who wouldn't be praying for these folks and also opening their wallets to help. God give them strength and comfort and give us a generous heart. TY
