but, 'I will do something!'”

This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

What a beautiful, beautiful blog!!! Thank you for sharing this wonderful picutres, i love them all!!!
wonderful quote.
All quotes from St. Francis de Sales have me thinking, "TRUE!"
Great quote, Micki. It ties in well with a great point our priest made today. He said that we can't expect our children to be obedient to us if they see us being disobedient to the church. For me, your quote reinforces how important my responsibility is to my children to make sure I'm living my life in accord to the Church. Thanks!
God bless,
Stephanie
This is a wildly popular saint, opting for spiritual wealth instead of the material. I often wonder if the saints of yesteryear had to struggle as hard as we do to be right with God. It is the same set of commandments that we live by.
Barbara - Thank you. Welcome...I think you might be a first time commenter???
Gardenia - T Y
not a minx etc. - Yes, he is a great motivator.
Stephanie - You bring comfort to my thoughts of what the children of today are being exposed to. Keep up the holy and good desires.
Mary Lou - I've never thought of that. How worth dwelling on, yes, they too had the same "rules". It's so hard to imagine life at a different time era. Thanks for that thought.
I met exactly this kind of priest last week...a young man who officiated at my mother's funeral.
Bryn - My heart goes out to you for losing your mother. Now you will have two "mothers" in heaven.
What a blessing to meet such a priest. I can only say....pray for him. We need all those good priests to stay strong and in love with God.
Thank you for writing.
