IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P
ph I love this one. when I was a child, I had a framed print maybe 8 x 10, of what I think was a paintig of the Christ Child. He is looking straight ahead with a slight smile, full head of bright yellowish curly hair, big halo around his head, just a head shot. years ago I stumbled across it -- maybe on the internet -- ad remember that it actually had a name -- maybe something Innocence. Anyway, I'm longing to find that somewhere and hang it in my two year old daughter's bedroom. and I cannot find it. wonder if you can help, or perhaps some of your readers.
Gardenia - I thank you for writing. I think you may be talking about a card I used in the past. It was called "The Light of the World" by C. Bosseron Chambers. You can see a copy of it here.
Thank you Micki for this touching image and text of the Sweet Child Jesus! This image is defintely one of those "special" devotionals to meditate upon the mysteries of Our Dear Lords life and our own. We owe so much to Him who has given us everything! A blessed weekend to all of your visitors and to you! John K.
