"We need to find God,
and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence.
See how nature - trees, flowers, grass-
grows in silence;
see the stars, the moon and the sun,
how they move in silence...
We need silence to be able to touch souls."

Friends - I'll be gone
for the next 5 days.
Please continue to leave comments. I will be unable to respond now but I'll catch up when we return.
Love to all.
Love to all.
Great quote from a great woman.
ReplyDeleteSilence is something I get so little of, with a one-year-old and a three-year-old in the house! But I find that even a few minutes of calm can do wonders. Great quote.
ReplyDeleteDear friends (especially "Prayerflowers"),
ReplyDeleteLike Micki, I have been away (and still am) with very little computer access. After getting back to home, I will go back over the missed cards and add translations and comments.
Micki, it was great to have a quick look at many new cards today. I was especially attracted to St. Raphael's on 9/29.

Sweet Micki,
ReplyDeleteHow I love this picture and the words of Blessed Mother Teresa. In silence...He is found.
We have a new priest and we are praying that he will start an adoration time at least once a month. Thank you John and God bless you for your kindness.

Micki,
ReplyDeleteSilence is golden it is so precious. Unfortunatley many of us have live with noise or we can't function.
The other day, the words of St Therese on her website run by the Society of the Little Flower were about how good silence was.
ReplyDeleteSometimes just to sit in Gods love is ALL.
A balm and a healing, may true peace be upon us. Amen
