Queenship of Mary........August 22

"Because the virgin Mary was raised to such a lofty dignity as to be the mother of the King of kings,
it is deservedly and by every right that the Church has honored her with the title of 'Queen'."

St. Alphonsus Ligouri

On October 11, 1954, His Holiness, Pope Pius XII, in his encyclical letter, "Ad Caeli Reginam" decreed and instituted the feast of the Queenship of Mary to be celebrated throughout the world every year. Likewise, he decreed that on that feast "there be renewed the consecration of the human race to the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary."

  10. Anonymous - Too bad your negative comment could not be said with pride from you and use your own name instead of hiding behind "anonymous."

Idolatry????? for a picture of someone who gave birth to Jesus??? a "picture to remind us of what we as Christians are grateful for. If you love your mother I bet you have her photo somewhere to remind you of her.

I wonder if you "idolize" your money......gee, there's a picture of a president on that....pot calling the kettle black.

    Yes.........I'm having a bad day.
