"When you are at Mass,
be there as if you were on Calvary.
For it is the same sacrifice
and the same Jesus Christ
who is doing for you
what He did on the cross for all human beings.

YES! An absolute yes! I just love hearing this, and hear it I would over and over again, for those words of St. Baptist de la Salle are sweet music to the ear.
In the Holy Mass, Jesus once again dies for us, though it is an unbloody sacrifice, the salvific grace of his rising and its restoring of us to life is the same as that of Calvary's. What an incredible God we have for he offers that gift to us in the Eucharist, and which He makes accessible to us everyday!
Ok, I get excited over the mysteries of the Holy Eucharist... he he he... thanks to you, dearest Micki! Love you!
This is beautiful Micki. Thanks for posting it.
I think Easter A. has described this holy card perfectly.
God Bless
Ed

Thank you, "Micki". I am a great fan of holy cards (my preference is for the St. Sulpice style -- especially the ones some people think are tacky). Though I have been following your blog for some time, I haven't had any comments important enough to publish so far -- just wanted you to know you have another fan.
Sweet Micki,
Thank you for posting this precious holy card and the words from St. John Baptist. I love the thought of Mass as if we were on Calvary...
Thank you so much,
Love,

Sanctus Belle - Thank you for sharing that card with your visitors. I love the spreading of our religious pictures....a thousand graces to everyone.
Jesus died ONCE for all. Jesus does not die again. (this is what Protestants accuse Catholics of doing) Rather the one definitive sacrifice of Jesus at Calvary is made present for all time in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It is the SAME sacrifice. Jesus does not die again. Read Pope John Paul II encyclical, Ecclessia de Eucharistia
