"Almighty Father,
I place the Precious Blood of Jesus
before my lips before I pray,
that my prayers may be purified
before they ascend
to Your divine altar."

IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

On April 19th I posted a card that I called "Angel's Messengers" that had questions as to the meaning of the card. Please go back and read Kay's fantastic answer to the puzzle about this image. She gives wonderful clickable sites to check out and answers the puzzle about what this particular card represented. Thank you dear Kay. I have such wonderful blog friends who share information about these cards....you are all so appreciated and loved. God's blessings to you all.
You've given us another striking image, Micki: Jesus standing in a chalice and holding a rosary.
I think that the French words mean this:
"Who is the One Whom we we will receive? He is a God made Man for our love. Let us honor Mary, whom He chose as His Mother."
John
PS: I will go now to see what Kay has explained about the April 19 card.
I'm silenced at the image and the quote -- they fall meaningfully and timely into my evolution into the prayer life. It's a consolation of sorts for me to see these. Our Lord reaches us in infinite ways. Thank you, Micki. Thank You, Jesus.

What a lovely card, Micki. I do so love these etchings when enlarged - the detail is astounding. Thank You.
Best Regards, Lynneda
John - Again, a wonderful translation. I loved the fact that the words talk about our Eucharist and His Mother. All we need to know. Thanks.
Friend of our Lord - giggle, giggle....you are not "silenced" at all...you have lots of good words....let's pray we all "evolve" along with each other.
Lynneda - I'm so happy that you enlarge the cards to see them...I just wish we could produce them like that for everyone to have.
hello - i love your blog - I have gone thru all the way back to your card. I pray to the Blessed Mother Mary (I was named after her - what an honor) Thank you for such beautiful pictures and words...
Daughter of Annie - You make me smile to picture someone going all the way back to the beginning...I think there is now something like 495 holy cards that have been posted. I appreciate your time in going all the way back. Thank you.
Hello Dearest Micki,

I myself am astounded by this picture. Thank you for sharing this with us, Micki! Thanks to John for the translation. I shall visit Kay now... :-)
