Let us pray for a greater faith. Let us know that life
here is only a pilgrimage. We know that the end is
only the beginning.
We know that Eternity has no end.
Eternity is forever.
Where we spend eternity is totally up to us.
IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Thankyou, Micki, for the beautiful holy card of Our Lady with the souls in purgatory...daily they should be in our thoughts and prayers.
d.s.
Friends,
The French words (and a bit of Latin) on the card mean the following:
[At the top:]
"Our Lady of Purgatory"
[At the bottom:]
"O Gate of Heaven! O Gate of Heaven, pray for us!
At last, heaven, so much desired, is opened! For here is the Mother of holy hope and of eternal forgiveness!"
John
The Mother of Holy Hope: Mary will never give up until all her children are safely home in heaven. Indeed, hope in Mary is certainty. She cannot, will not rest. She is ever "waiting up" for her children. She is truly the Mother of Holy Hope.
Beautiful card.
D.S. - Oh so right D. We have to get them out of there with our prayers and sacrifices...then they can be in heaven to help us.
John - Isn't it comforting to know Mary will always be our "mother"...even if we are in Purgatory pulling us up?
Fr. Scott - I love the picture you paint of Mary "waiting up" for us. Always keeping her children in her heart. If I'm "late" Mother Mary, please don't "ground" me.
Jessica - Thank you for coming by.
Thank you for your web site. We are truly missing these inspirational photos in the Church today.
Someone told me that eternity is now and fully attained when our souls are finally one with God. I love it!
"If I'm "late" Mother Mary, please don't "ground" me." Oh, Micki, you crack me up! Ha ha ha... I love reading your comments. Thank you, dearest Micki, for taking the time to write all those comments! :-)
ds - That's why these are here. So glad you appreciate these little pieces of inspiration.
Easter - What a beautiful thought to pass on. Thank you for sharing about our souls being one with God and that's what eternity is. Touching.
