"Almighty Father,
I place the Precious Blood of Jesus
before my lips before I pray,
that my prayers may be purified
before they ascent
to Your divine altar."

IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Micki, I had a card exactly like this one when I was a child! Sadly, I don't know where it's gone. I hope you won't mind if I print off a copy of this. Many Thanks and Best Regards, Lynneda
Beautiful Micki, My wife and I always say this prayer.
I have to keep coming here every day, Lynneda -- not just for Micki's beautiful cards, but to learn from you to be a kinder person than I am.
God be with you.
John
Lynneda - Of course I won't mind.
Ed - How wonderful. I never heard that prayer before and I think it is just too beautiful. I would like to say it myself before Communion.
John - Ohhhhh, so nice.
Oh Micki, I could only say: Praise God for his beauty portrayed by these cards of yours!
Thank you for sharing them with us!
Love,
Easter:-)
God be with you too, John - and with us All, Always.
Best Regards, Lynneda
Easter, I had to laugh at your response to my reply about St. Joseph's bald look. I have nothing against baldness. Maybe I shouldn't share this but the funniest remark I heard latly about having a bald spot is....."that's not a bald spot, that a solar window for a sex machine."..........forgive me...it just struck my fancy.
