"To reach the port of heaven,
we must sail sometimes with the wind
and sometimes against it,
but we must sail,
and not drift,
nor lie at anchor."
Oliver Wendell Holmes
IMAGO SACRA MILLE GRATIARUM VALET. ("A holy picture is worth a thousand graces")................... This blog is a means to show some of my holy card collection along with some interesting thoughts and inspirations. "....artists have the privilege in the Church and throughout history, to open up so that people can see the mystery of God. The artist speaks, not just literally, but symbolically. Visual images, if well done, can move us. That's a ministry." Quote from Brother Michael Moran, C.P

Great Quote! G. K. Chesterton said that only a living thing can swim against the stream. A dead thing can only go with the flow.
The beautiful Holy Family together in the boat, tighly united, sailing away in the boat of the Church. It´s such joy and security living with Jesus, Mary and Joseph.

Anne - Ahhhh, that wonderful word "Trust".....easy to say, hard to do.
Anonymous/Ca - What the heck, I'll add one more "amen". Thanks.
Fr. Larry - Woa...sounds like a political statement if I ever heard one. I love Chesterton...so wise.
Ceci - I love your words..."tightly united, sailing away in the boat of the Church." So visual. So true. Thank you.
